Optical Rx Now is a prescription storage and management app. It is NOT a medical device, medical diagnosis tool, or treatment application.

This app stores optical prescriptions for organizational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult with a licensed eye care professional (optometrist or ophthalmologist) for all medical decisions related to your vision and eye health.

The information stored in this app is derived from prescriptions written by licensed healthcare providers and should only be used as directed by those providers.

Optical Rx Now collects only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Prescription Data: Optical prescriptions (sphere, cylinder, axis, add power, pupillary distance, etc.) • Family Member Information: Names and relationship to primary user for family management • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility and troubleshooting • Camera Data: Only for prescription image capture, processed on your device

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Store and retrieve your optical prescriptions • Enable you to print and share prescriptions securely • Maintain your family member profiles • Improve app stability and performance • Track app usage anonymously for analytics • Display relevant advertisements

Optical Rx Now displays advertisements via Meta Audience Network to support the app's development:

• Ad Provider: Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook, Instagram parent company) • Non-Personalized Ads: Ads are NOT based on your prescription data or health information. We show general advertisements to all users • Ad Placement: Ads appear at specific locations in the app (home screen top and bottom banners) • Ad Content: Advertisements may include healthcare products, eyewear services, optical shops, or general services • No Health Data Sharing: Your optical prescriptions and medical information are NEVER transmitted to Meta or used for ad targeting • Anonymous Metrics: We track only anonymous ad impressions (views) and clicks. This data cannot be linked back to your identity or prescriptions

🔒 Your Privacy First: Ads are completely separated from your prescription data. We choose non-personalized ads over targeted advertising to protect your medical privacy.

Meta's Privacy Policy: Meta also has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle data from their ad network. You can review Meta's privacy policy at: facebook.com/privacy

To improve the app and understand usage patterns, we collect anonymous analytics:

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated anonymous ID stored on your device (not linked to your identity) • Session Tracking: We track when you open the app and basic usage patterns • Platform Data: Device type (iPhone/Android), OS version, and app version • Usage Statistics: Which features are used (NOT what specific prescriptions you view) • Crash Reports: Anonymized error logs to improve app stability

What We DON'T Track: • Your prescription values or medical details • Personal identifying information (name, email, phone) • Cross-app activity or browsing history • Location beyond general region (for legal compliance)

All analytics are used solely to improve app performance and user experience. We do NOT sell analytics data to third parties.

We prioritize the security of your medical data:

• Local Storage: Prescription data is primarily stored locally on your device for maximum privacy • Cloud Analytics: Anonymous usage data and ad performance metrics are stored in our secure cloud database • Encryption: Sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest • Data Separation: Prescription data and analytics data are stored separately and never combined • No Third-Party Sharing: Your prescription data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing • HIPAA Considerations: While not covered by HIPAA, we follow HIPAA principles for medical data handling

You control how your data is shared:

• Camera Access: Required only to capture prescription images. No photos are uploaded without your consent • Photo Library: Used only to select and store prescription documents • Manual Sharing: You can choose to share prescriptions via email, messaging, or printing at any time

Optical Rx Now allows you to generate "Quick View" links that open specific prescriptions instantly:

• How It Works: Quick View links are local shortcuts that open prescriptions stored on your device • Privacy-First Design: Quick View links ONLY work on the same device where the prescription was saved • No Cloud Sync: Your prescription data is NOT uploaded to the cloud when you generate a Quick View link • No Cross-Device Sharing: If you open a Quick View link on a different phone, it will show "prescription not available" (by design, for privacy) • Use Cases: Organize prescriptions with QR codes, create home screen shortcuts, or share links within the same device

🔒 Your prescription data remains on your device. Quick View links are simply local references, not cloud-based sharing.

You have full control over your data:

• Local Data: All prescription data remains on your device until you delete it • Deletion: You can delete individual prescriptions or all data at any time through the app settings • Factory Reset: Uninstalling the app or performing a device factory reset will remove all stored data

Optical Rx Now is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete such information promptly.

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected and used • Delete personal information collected from you • Opt-out of the sale of your personal information

Since we don't sell your data, these rights are fully respected by default.

For European users, your data is processed in accordance with GDPR principles:

• Lawful Basis: Processing is based on your explicit consent and contract performance • Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data • Data Protection: We implement data minimization and protection by design

Optical Rx Now uses the following third-party services:

• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the app (no personal prescription details) • Cloud Backup (Optional): If you choose to enable cloud sync, your data is encrypted before transmission

Third parties cannot access your prescription data without additional explicit consent.

In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 30 days through in-app notifications and, where legally required, via email.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Significant changes will be announced via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We make it easy for you to delete your data at any time:

• Delete Individual Prescriptions: Long-press on any prescription in the list and confirm deletion • Delete All Data: Tap the settings icon (⚙️) in the home header, then long-press to access the "Reset App Data" option • Uninstall: Simply uninstalling the app will permanently remove all locally stored prescription data from your device

⚠️ Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you have backups of any prescriptions you wish to keep.
